        This year, UNITEN is proud to host the ASC 2017 from 10 to 11 November 2017 at Bukit Gambang Resort City, Pahang with the theme “3I: Integrity, Intelligence, Inspiration”

 

        The ASC 2017, aims to provide students with insights into the accountancy profession and equip them with the required knowledge as future professional accountants. The ASC 2017 highlights the three important values of an accountant ascribing to the theme “3I: Integrity, Intelligence, Inspiration”. The focus on the “3I” is to instil the importance of the values in which, “Integrity” being the fundamental element of the accounting profession, while having the value “Intelligence” and “Inspiration” to be further developed within the students, in order to prepare them for the challenging and demanding corporate world.

 

           The ASC 2017 is expected to be participated by 200 students from the public and private universities, university colleges and colleges throughout Malaysia.

 

           In addition, the ASC 2017 is supported by Yayasan Canselor UNITEN (YCU). YCU was incorporated on June 2, 2009, under Seksyen 2 Akta Pemegang Amanah (Pemerbadanan) 1952 (Akta 258) as Pemegang Amanah Yayasan Canselor Universiti Tenaga Nasional Berdaftar. As it is an approved institution, all contributions or donations to Yayasan Canselor UNITEN are tax deductible under Section 44 (6) of Income Tax Act 1967.

 

 

Objectives of the ASC 2017:

 

 

1.  To stimulate the integrity objectivity for future accounting to become more                  diligence and uphold professional behavior in the work field.

​

2.  To encourage the good practices of accounting fundamental in every future               accountant that align with the needs of accounting profession.

 

3.  To attract and inspire the participants based on the successful accomplishment         and experience of the speakers in the way which can motivate them in                       accounting field in the future.

 

4.  To nurture fundamental soft skills and critical thinking skills among accounting          undergraduates to be the most exhilarating and leading-edge trendsetter in the        future.
